A shocking example of what can happen when flood defences are breached. This amazing drone footage in the local newspaper #worthingherald shows the sea several metres higher than normal, with water levels washing over the sea defence and flooding land behind. Thankfully, we understand that no one was injured but it did cut off homes and businesses from the surroundings.
